A Walk in the Woods – Burnham Beeches
With no shoots scheduled I took the opportunity yesterday to venture out of the city to Burnham Beeches, just a 30 minute drive from London. If you recognise the trees then its because the woods have been used for many films, including: Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Goldfinger, Princess Bride and two of the Harry Potter movies.
Tech: I took a few lenses out with me but in the end only used my most recent acquisition; the Nikon 45mm f/2.8 PC lens, mounted on the Nikon D810 with a Manfrotto L Plate and Manfrotto tripod.

Fiesta de la Virgen de la Candelaria, Copacabana, Bolivia
From the 2nd to 5th of February every year the quiet lakeside town of Copacabana comes alive with thousands of pilgrims and revellers, celebrating the patron saint of Bolivia; The Virgin of Candelaria. I was lucky enough to be there two years ago and here are a few of my favourite pictures.

The Peak District in Autumn
I always try and set aside some time in the autumn to get away somewhere and take advantage of this transient period, this year it was the Peak District. I’d visited and shot the area once before, but didn’t feel I had done it justice. As a photographer I feel I’ve improved a lot since my first trip three years ago. I spent two days exploring Padley Gorge and The Longshaw Estate, the colours were beautiful in the area.

This was a dawn shoot I’d planned, hoping for crisp early light catching the valley, in the end I had to wait for an hour for the sun ot finally break through the foggy start.

The Monday was very bright and sunny, I drove over to Mam Tor, found a location along the ridge and waited for the sun to descend into the skies above Manchester.
