After covering the Holi festival in Mathura I caught a train to Delhi (an bour late as is usual in India), and flew north to Amritsar, famous for the Golden Temple and the Wagha border ceremony.
The light was soft at the temple in the morning and evenings, and i found this ideal for shooting portraits of the pilgrims who came to worship at the temple. Among the visitors were members of the ‘Nihang‘ people, ultra orthodox Sikh who dress in a very traditional way.
